quality assurance
Medical Solutions™ is dedicated to the provision of a total quality service and to
meet this goal employs a high calibre of consultant pathologists, laboratory and
administrative staff.
Our laboratory is housed in a modern building and is equipped with state of the
art equipment for professional sample handling, result generation and efficient,
accurate reporting.
To ensure we attain our goal of providing this high level of service we were accredited
with
Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) in August 2005, which was reconfirmed during
January 2008 in conjunction with a successful inspection for
Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
GLP accreditation provides clients with the assurance that Medical Solutions is
fully licensed to undertake regulatory studies and act as a reference laboratory
for pharmaceutical companies seeking compliance with the principles of Good Laboratory
Practice as set out by the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development).
GCP accreditation provides further assurance that all regulatory studies involving
human tissue are conforming to the principles of good clinical practice that are
outlined in articles 2 to 5 in the EU Directive 2005/28/EC.
We were granted unconditional accreditation by the
Clinical Pathology Accreditation UK Ltd (CPA) in August 2006.
Our license from the Human Tissue Authority
(HTA) was granted in 2007.
The Medical Solutions quality management system is unique as it encompasses the
requirements of GLP, GCP, CPA and HTA, in addition we are in preparation for the
introduction of
ISO 9001:2000 into its scope.
The Company undertakes regular audits and inspections from outside agencies and
clients to ensure that our standard operating procedures and practices are in accordance
with GLP, GCP, CPA and HTA requirements.
In order to monitor the accuracy and precision of analysis, carried out with strict
adherence to well established standard operating procedures, Medical Solutions incorporates
a stringent quality control programme into its daily routine, and are a member of
the UKNEQAS Quality Assurance
Scheme.
